Copyright of the images and videos is there to protect the artist and the website. The content and choreography of the videos commissioned by NYD.com for Dance for Peace project belong explicitly to the artist. NYD.com "owns" copyright of the videos themselves in so far as to show them on our website and on future DVDs, and use as promotional material, but not to make any profit from them other than to fund the website for continuity of its existence. The same goes for static images. The artists can do whatever with the images and videos they appear in, which will be provided to them, as long as NYD.com & photographer/videographer is credited, and it is not for commercial use, e.g., you cannot take the videos and give them to another website to show them without written permission from NYD.com, or sell them to ABC TV. In other words, it's your work, NYD.com merely owns the right to show it exclusively.
